Life Saver

Faron Hall is credited for saving a teenage boys life, who was drowning near the bridge Faron had slept under for so many nights. Since the rescue, Hall has been showered with gifts. A woman who witnessed the rescue has given him a room in her home. Katz has given Hall two seasons tickets to the minor-league Goldeyes baseball team. The Southern Chiefs Organization has offered him bus fare to see his father on a reserve west of the capital city.

Hall recognizes the attention and offers of help have put him at a "crossroads" that might allow him to turn his life around. "I believe I gave that little guy back his life. I've got to get my life back as well. That's what I plan to do."

Hall is anxious to get away from the spotlight, he hopes his story will persuade people to see homeless people in a new light.
"Just respect (them), 'cause they're people too. Show compassion. Not pity, 'cause I believe none of them want pity.
"I just treat people the way I want to be treated, which is with respect and understanding."

the beat of my heart <3

one of the most comforting things for me is to fall asleep in someones arms, with my head on their chest listening to the beat of their heart.. and since im currently still waiting for Prince Charming to get his shit together... i think i need to invest in one of these..

they are heart shaped pillows that when are hugged tightly, vibrate with a special rhythmic heart beat.. and everytime you turn it on, an entirely unique heartbeat rhythm is created.

Our hearts naturally begin to dance and sync with the hearts of other we hold or hug. This phenomenon has been observed for ages. Hugging this Beating Heart a few minutes allows the calm and dreamy beat to relax the body & ease the mind. I guess it might be a little odd in some ways, but i know i would find this to be so comforting! <3

tigers say oink?

In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, died shortly after birth. The mother tiger, after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically, she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve. After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger.... & it worked! Take a look..
