insomnia is my least favourite..

bleh, so i know i'm far from the first to post about these, but i seriously still think this might be the only thing that could possibly help me sleep.. i don't know what it is, but my insomnia has been worse than usual and it's exactly the wrong time for that.. I just recently got a new pillow top mattress cover type thing and let me tell you.. feeling like you are sleeping on a cloud helps A LOT, but i still find myself watching the clock go by minute by minute, and if i do fall asleep, its only an hour or two before i'm wide awake again with some kind of weird/scary nightmare... so i'm on the hunt to find myself a set of Storybook Sheets... its my last resort kids, im desprate here... and still wide awake.... it's almost 4 am.

Don’t Miss The Last Drop!

this is actually the best invention i have seen in a very long time! i hate when there is that last bit of shampoo that you cant quite get out. so you place all the bottles upside down, or try to move the little straw from the pump into just the right spot.. or even add a little water to squish it around- all very ineffective! hence this:

concept cell phone meets window..

During the idea 2009 competition designer Seunghan Song has taken the ideas of a cellphone, the weather, and a window and literally mashed them all together to get something like this...

the screen virtually changes according to the weather for cast that day. clear on a sunny day, wet on a rainy one, and a fogged glow if there is snow in the forecast.

the only thing that can change your phone is the weather..

very creative invention, but i think i would only like it on sunny days? the rest looks hard to read..

Both the alternative consumer and employees at Earthfirst think this solar powered office-in-a-box from Louis Vuitton is a monstrosity, the "antithesis of sustainability." I think it is rather neat, and expect to find affordable knock-offs on Canal Street next week. It was made for an unknown customer from China and contains everything you’d need to keep you entertained and energised while away on business or stranded on a desert island.

Inside you’ll find a TV, DVD player and coffee maker, the latter powered by a can of petrol. Electronic gadgets are powered by solar panels.

Looking beyond the Louis Vuitton name, transformer furniture and transportable, foldable designs like this make a lot of sense, and had it come from MUJI they would be eating it up.

And compared to what Louis Vuitton made for Karl Lagerfield....

He turned to Louis Vuitton for a custom-made suitcase able to hold up to forty iPods – lord knows why he needs that many.

It’s worth noting that, when a simple Louis Vuitton passport holder costs £155 ($234/€176), the custom-made Lagerfeld trunk would undoubtedly set you back a pretty penny. Yet it comes with what looks suspiciously like a JBL speaker set - which retails for around £50 ($75/€56). Nice mark-up if you can get it....... A custom case to hold forty iPods. im not sure why it has taken someone so long to come up with this idea, but designers Kawamura & Ganjavian finally have...

its more than irritating when you can't find something in your bag, and you're stuck digging for car keys when it's cold and dark outside, or when you cant find your cell phone and end up always missing the call... i guess you can say goodbye to these problems if you choose to purchase this bag that glows brightly when you open it.

to bad these bags aren't "eye candy" per say...

Designer Sandstrom has embedded her EPA dress with sensors that are able to intelligently read the surrounding atmosphere and in turn create telling kinks in the fabric’s surface. On days when the air quality is particularly poor, the EPA dress looks as if it has been pulled out of the laundry bin or from the back of one’s closet. It’s a scary prospect to think that our clothes might take on a texture of their own, but if this is a viable way for us to see our true selves or rather the state of our environment, well then, we are all for it!.
